T&R Technology and Research
Fika was contracted by TA Systems, a prominent industry leader in automated robotics for plastic welding, to provide design services for their new office and research and development facility in Auburn Hills, MI. The project is situated in a technology and research zoning area with stringent restrictions, on the overall form. The facility comprises 10,000 square feet of office space and 60,000 square feet of innovation space, which includes five large crane bays.
The building design is distinct, as it incorporates a pre-engineered metal structure to accommodate the expansive spans required for the innovation space. However, the exterior façade is carefully crafted to have a sophisticated architectural appearance that harmonizes with the surrounding buildings.
