Overview

This project involves the design and construction of advanced laboratories and facilities to support research, development, testing, and manufacturing across electronics, mechanical systems, aerodynamics, and quality control for Pratt Miller.

The E-Lab will include workstations for builders, motorsport electronics development, and supporting areas such as kitting, tool storage, and a community toolbox. Key utilities like ventilation and compressed air will be integrated into the space. The electronics testing area will feature dedicated zones for high voltage, vehicle testing, and battery and fuel cell evaluation, with provisions for specialized ventilation, fire suppression, and cleanroom environments.

Testing labs will support clean and mechanical testing activities, including areas for instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and controlled environments with heavy lifting capabilities and fluid management systems. An external cooling tower will be installed to support these operations.

The aero lab will host full-scale and scale-model testing areas, along with specialized rooms for paint, bonding, grinding, and composites assembly. It will also include precise environmental controls for temperature and humidity.

The quality lab will house advanced inspection equipment, including systems for magnetic particle and fluorescent penetrant inspections.

Additional spaces will support manufacturing, machining, vehicle builds, and controlled storage for hazardous materials. Exterior site improvements will include battery storage and a reinforced bunker for specialized materials, designed to meet safety and regulatory standards.

This facility will enable cutting-edge innovation, optimize operations, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety requirements, while allowing for future scalability.
